NEVER think about girls while working..

Today was a funny day! Destination trysil had booked a table for eleven people at our restaurant – apparently an important lunch with German clients. Now that our main waitress has left our work, it was up to me to take care of this table and take their orders. Everything went well until I was gonna bring them their food.
I was carrying in a plate of spare ribs for one of the Germans, just walking along in a good mood and thinking about a girl, then suddenly i drop the plate of food on his lap.
In a foolish attempt to loosen the tension and make them laugh, I considered to pull some wisecrack joke about the second world war but luckily enough i didn’t. It might have offended “zie Germanz..” Later I also managed to make a german woman at the table a cappuchino without coffe – in other words it was just a glass with milk. Gotta stop thinking about girls when I work.

I became aware of how stingy my boss really is today. As I was taking out my food pack from the dish washer after having lunch, she told me that “It cost 10 kr for our staff to wash their food pack in the working place dish washer. It will be deducted from your salary.” Thanks..

I started watching Deadwood again yesterday – In my opinion the best series ever made. It’s about a lawless city during the middle of the 1800 century. Most of the caracters and events that happen in the series are based on real events that actually transpired. Its kind of a tough guy series – there is a lot of bad language, whiskey, gambling, prostitution and violence. and its DAMN funny! My favorite character is Al Swearengen, the owner of a saloon. Yes, he existed for real! Here is a piece where the sheriff is in an argument with Al Swearengen in his saloon.. Gotta love him!

Life is an adventure! I believe in participating in life - not standing on the side and watching it. Here I will write about all my passions, big and small. Follow my exciting trips around the world as well as my almost normal days at home, wherever it may be at the moment.. If you like inspiration, travel, challenges, training, fashion, self improvement, culture, food and gear - look no further! So to all my stalkers, congratulations! Now you can enjoy watching my life closely at home with your computer, those cold nights with binoculars aimed at my window are finally over. I'll finish my first post by quoting Bilbo (a character in J.R.R Tolkien's The lord of the rings) with a line that ever since I heard it as a child (about 2 years ago) has left a trace in my memory: " It's a dangerous business, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to"
