Så igår fick vi i team BMR våra träningsprogram som vi skall följa fram till fitnessgalan om exakt 12 veckor. Min reaktion?

Verkar som om det blir gymmet 7 dagar i veckan! AND I LOVE IT! Discopumpträning på hög nivå! För 7-8 år sedan var jag elitidrottare (landslaget och europalaget i amerikansk fotboll)

och då tränade jag nästan varje dag och ofta mer. De senaste 2-3 åren har jag dock tränat max 4 gånger i veckan, och kört som mest 3-8 reps per set. Men nu under inledningsfasen blir det 12 reps och kortare vila mellan seten. Ser verkligen fram emot att börja programmet! Högrepsträning (som jag kallar 12 reps eller mer) aktiverar lite annan typ av muskelfibrer än tunga 4-reps set.

So yesterday me and the other Team BMR athletes got the training program from coach Ako that we are supposed to follow for 12 weeks until the competition. My reaction?

Seems like I’ll be hitting the gym 7 days of the week! AND I LOVE IT! Classic disco pump training. About 7-8 years ago i was an elite athlete (Swedish national team and European allstar team football)

and back then I was used to a tough regimen. I normally trained every day and sometimes more. The last 2-3 years I’ve been sticking to 4 times a week and mostly 3-8 reps per set. Under the initial phase of the program we are doing 12 rep sets with shorter rest – a style that targets slightly different muscle fibers.

Getting a meal plan from Ako today too!
