On this page, I’ll do my best to describe who I am and to answer any interesting or non interesting questions about me. I got this list of 200 questions from conversation starters world, and they have a bunch of other cool stuff to check out. The list starts out casual, and progresses into ending with personal questions.
Casual questions to get to know me
What are your favorite colors?
Green, purple, orange in that order.
What attracts you?
Audaciousness, boldness, confidence, authority, humor.
What repels you?
Timidness, meekness, people who take forever to make a decision, or speak about themselves in a negative way.
If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?
Easy. Just pour more energy into all my 67 creative hobbies and interests! Practice DJing, work on photoshop skills, etc.
What’s your favorite piece of clothing you own / owned?
It’s gotta be my Asian themed tuxedo from Zara Man Black Label. Just so unique, bossy and cool! I wear it every chance I get. Either that, or my pair of cowboy boots with brown leather and Italian snake skin.
What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue?
The ones I’m already doing. I can’t think of any hobby that would qualify for the question that I haven’t started pursuing already.
What would your perfect room look like?
My bedroom. When I bought my apartment, I gave myself completely free reigns to go interior design bananas on one room, and I chose my bedroom. I tried to make it as luxurious and extravagant as possible while being able to get really dark. Color theme: black, gold & purple. I chose black oak floors, black walls and black ceiling. I put up fat crown moldings and a ceiling rose that I painted in gold. I also put up a gold curtain rod and found royal purple & gold jacquard drapes. Across from the bed, I hung a huge gold framed mirror, and I found a really cool brass lamp of a lion holding a ring in it’s mouth. It looks amazing! When I shut my blinds and pull the drapes in front of the window, all light in the room vanishes completely. It’s like being inside of an abandoned coal mine 1000 yards under the surface of Pluto. Perfect.
How often do you play sports?
I grew up playing a wide variety of sports, and from the age of 5 until 16, I played soccer, hockey, badminton, swimming, floorball, judo, table tennis, and probably a few more. I wasn’t among the best players on any team sport I tried, because my motor skills developed quite lately. That all changed at about age 16, and suddenly it felt like I became good overnight. At that point, I had just started playing American football and lifting weights. I quickly became a good player, and progressed up to the point of playing for the Swedish national team, and the European all-star team as a starting linebacker in the official pre-superbowl world tournament 2003 in San Diego. After a few serious concussions, I quit playing in 2005 and since then I work out for fun. I lift weights, do cardio, gymnastics strength & stretching 3-5 times per week. I’ve also competed in fitness as a Men’s Physique athlete. Training is a huge part of my identity and something I couldn’t imagine living without.
What fictional place would you most like to go?
Tough one. I’d rather visit a lot of historical times and places like ancient Greece, colonial India, Rome, Chinese dynasties etc. I guess I’m the perfect customer for Westworld’s parks ha ha. If I have to choose a fictional place, I could consider the sewer den of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
What job would you be terrible at?
Any monotone uneducated job that doesn’t stimulate the mind or offer any kind of career advancement opportunities. Like supermarket cashier. I tried it, got fired after 3 months.
When was the last time you climbed a tree?
Can’t remember, but probably much more recent than I think!
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning medal for?
Meal planning & efficient cooking.
What is the most annoying habit that other people have?
Not respecting the noise level of public places. Talking loudly or playing music so that others in the vicinity fall victim to hearing even though they probably don’t want to.
What job do you think you’d be really good at?
Under cover testing, evaluating and suggestion of improvements for restaurants, hotels, bars and clubs. I’m not a bad stripper either 😉
What skill would you like to master?
Scratching as a DJ. I want to learn it as much as I want to breathe.
What would be the most amazing adventure to go on?
Motorcycle road trip of pan-american highway. It’s on my bucket list.
If you had unlimited funds to build a house that you would live in for the rest of your life, what would the finished house be like?
Something like the scene in The Great Gatsby when the camera does a flyover shot of Tom Buchanan’s house. But I’d also add a secret underground tech area like the bat cave. When I build or buy a mansion, there must be a long straight alley of trees leading up to it.
What’s your favorite drink?
Not much beats a big glass of good red wine in the company of delicious food!
What state or country do you never want to go back to?
Can’t think of any place that I won’t want to visit again. However, I rarely chose to go back to places I visit, simply because there are so many other places on my list that I want to visit too!
What songs have you completely memorized?
None, unfortunately. I have a plan of one day learning to sing a song REALLY really well, just to totally shock a karaoke audience. But I haven’t gotten started on that yet.
What game or movie universe would you most like to live in?
Heroes of might and magic, hands down. Easy. I grew up playing HOMM 2 & 3, still the best games in history, IMO.
What do you consider to be your best find?
A handmade bronze cobra head for walking cane. I bought it from a Chinese crafts artist on ebay, and made a unique cane out of it by ordering an Italian cane, scrubbing the surface and painting it gold.
Are you usually early or late?
Early. I hate stress.
What pets did you have while you were growing up?
Loads of cats. I don’t have anything against pets but I’m not a pet person, and I’ll probably never get my own.
When people come to you for help, what do they usually want help with?
Nutrition plans and exercise plans to lose weight. I used to put my time and effort into giving them to friends for free, but I stopped doing it since they don’t follow them anyway. Just a waste of my time, really. Especially since I’ve almost never gotten anything back in return. I don’t mind helping friends, but the problem with a free service is that people don’t value it since it doesn’t cost them anything to obtain. Never mind the fact that I’ve put 25 years of passionate reading books, studies, science and experimenting on myself into it..
What takes up too much of your time?
Mundane tasks like commuting and laundry. I’ve effectively solved cooking, and laundry is up for an experiment that has just started. Can’t do much about the commuting though.
What do you wish you knew more about?
It’s always baffled me why skin and the body keep ageing despite all the cells in the body constantly being renewed and replaced.
What would be your first question after waking up from being cryogenically frozen for 100 years?
What year is it?
What are some small things that make your day better?
The joy of having perfected my lifestyle to make it easy and remove as much of hassle and time consuming mundane tasks as possible. Like only needing to cook once a week and always having delicious food ready each night.
What shows are you into?
Game of thrones, Westworld, One piece, Suits, Gotham, Fresh off the boat, Better call Saul. And it would be a sin not to mention the best series ever made: Deadwood.
What TV channel doesn’t exist but really should?
I haven’t owned a TV in 8 years. Biggest waste of time ever. I usually watch a series episode with my brother while having dinner, but I NEVER randomly watch TV.
Who has impressed you most with what they’ve accomplished?
One of them is running back Rocky Bleier. He was injured by a grenade during the Viet Nam war and his walking was crippled by metal fragments still in his foot. Despite that, he battled through the pain of running, and managed to play in the NFL for Pittsburgh Steelers and win the Superbowl.
What age do you wish you could permanently be?
I’m 34 now and not complaining. Still got the fit ripped body of 22, most of my strength, and my temper has matured and improved. I don’t feel that unruly stress or anxiety of being a young man. I know myself very well, I’m completely comfortable about who I am, what my values are. Would be nice to stay like this!
What TV show or movie do you refuse to watch?
Anything horror. I’ve never understood why people voluntarily give their valuable time to watch something that makes them frightened, when they could instead choose to laugh or watch something that has a positive impact on their life. “No, I want to be scared, not dare to look at the screen, and probably not be able to fall asleep”. Idiotic.
What would be your ideal way to spend the weekend?
Completely alone in a huge luxurious suite, perhaps in a remote hotel or cruise line. Nobody disturbing me, I could go to the ships gym, hit the restaurants, and spend quality time alone working on projects, studying or learning something. Fact is, I’ve wanted to to such a get-away trip for years. It’s going to happen sooner or later. Think about how nice it would be to bring my laptop and spend a full two weeks away from any social media, working out, eating good food, and organizing my DJ library of songs and playlists into complete perfection. Paradise!
What is something that is considered a luxury, but you don’t think you could live without?
What’s your claim to fame?
The closest I ever was to being famous is a letter from a TV production company, hand picking me to come to an audition for a role of gladiator (not contestant) on the 2003 Swedish version of American Gladiators. I would have gone, but our team had a national semi final game that date, and I couldn’t let my team down by skipping the game.
What’s something you like to do the old-fashioned way?
Cook. I love to cook, and I’m good at it. I never buy processed or ready made food (microwave meals).
What’s your favorite genre of book or movie?
Book: Facts and autobiographies. I don’t read for entertainment, I read to get better at stuff and improve my life.
Movie: Sci-fi, adventure, action-comedy.
How often do you people watch?
It’s not something I schedule into my calendar. I do it if I don’t have anything else to spend my time doing. Like if I’m waiting for a flight. Occasionally on trips, if I visit a cafe or nice hotel lobby.
What have you only recently formed an opinion about?
Not many of my opinions are set in stone. I’ve learned a very valuable lesson of being able and willing to admit that I’m wrong. If somebody can present true facts that contradict my opinion on something, I have no problems changing my opinion. It’s a skill few people can do. Wars have been started over not being able to change opinions and admitting to be wrong, despite overwhelming facts.
What’s the best single day on the calendar?
Every Monday. I’ve never understood people who don’t like Mondays- a fresh week to get closer to your goals and improve your life. I’m sure people who love their life love Mondays. I also think it’s such a loser mentality to not like Mondays. If you don’t like Mondays, you probably don’t have the right full time occupation. Take responsibility for your life and do something about it instead of whining. I can’t stand people who complain about everything but don’t take any action to change.
What are you interested in that most people haven’t heard of?
Most people have probably heard of it, but I have a strange fascination for con artists, mythomaniacs and people with a hugely exaggerated ego & self confidence.
How do you relax after a hard day of work?
Have a delicious bite to eat while watching an episode of some series with my brother.
What was the best book or series that you’ve ever read?
Fact: Either some of Robert Greene’s books like 33 Strategies of war, or a historical book about con artists by Dan Glimne.
Fiction: Gregory David Roberts – Shantaram. Hands down, very hard to beat that one.
What’s the farthest you’ve ever been from home?
I’d guess Komodo Islands in Indonesia. Getting a rescue diver certificate and chillin’ with some komodo dragons.
What is the most annoying question that people ask you?
What could you give a 40-minute presentation on with absolutely no preparation?
Nutritional strategy to get in shape, meal planning, workout planning, lifestyle design and set up.
If you were dictator of a small island nation, what crazy dictator stuff would you do?
What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?
Get in really really good shape. To quote Socrates: “What a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.”. Such total truth. Many people waste their lives, their potential and their self esteem by not taking responsibility for their body and health.
Would you rather go hang gliding or whitewater rafting?
Allowed to choose both??
What’s your dream car?
I don’t look at cars as anything other than a means of transport. My father told me as a kid that “nothing dries up a man’s wallet faster than owning a car”, and that’s something I’ve always remembered. Too many people (especially guys) waste a lot of money on getting a flashy car. The thing is, NOBODY cares what car you drive. My ideal car is one that transports me as cheaply as possible while being safe and not too ugly.
